Note before purchasing: This thermal compound is not intended for use on every device. It is specifically designed to replace the black OEM proprietary thermal compound on the devices listed below. The heatsink gap on the devices that use Apple's special proprietary paste is very large, and needs a very thick thermal compound with large particles in order to properly transfer heat. This thermal compound will not work well on devices with thin heatsink gaps due to the large spherical particles suspended in the compound. All thermal compound sales are final, and no returns are accepted for thermal interface materials.

Designed specifically to replace Apple's proprietary "black" thermal compound used on several MacBook models such as the A1932, A2179, A1534 as well as the RAM portion of the M1 and M1 Pro/Max based devices. Carbon Black™ can also be used on any Apple device that uses their proprietary "black" thermal compound such as iPhones, iPads, SSDs, and Apple TVs.

• Eliminates die/component hotspots caused by incomplete heatsink contact seen with use of other thermal compounds.
• Provides an exceptional heatsink seal for maximum thermal conductivity.
• Will not dry out, separate, or crack with use.
• Not electrically conductive.

Best thermal performance is seen after a few thermal cycles, which typically occurs within the first 15 minutes of use of the device. During the first couple thermal cycles, the viscosity of Carbon Black™ slightly changes, allowing the nano sized particles of the compound to completely fill small heatsink surface imperfections. After this takes place, the compound will slightly cure, leading to maximum possible thermal conductivity.

It is not recommend to use Carbon Black™ on any other devices that don't use the Apple proprietary "Black" thermal paste.
